George Devonish

Age: 30

Sex: male

Date: 4 Dec 2008

Place: Violet Close, Aldermans Green, Coventry, West Midlands

George Devonish was stabbed to death in his flat in Violet Close, Aldermans Green during a robbery on 4 December 2008.

He died from  injuries to his head, neck and chest.

The police said that they thought that it had been either a robbery gone wrong or a targeted attack.

It was reported that George Devonish's jewellery had been stolen during the incident, including a gold necklace and a bracelet and it was thought that someone would have probably tried to later sell it on, possibly in the Coventry Jewellery Quarter.

George Devonish was described as a fitness fanatic and it was thought that it would have taken more than one person to overpower him.

The police said that they thought that somebody in the community had information about his murder.

In 2015 the police announced they had new leads in the case, however, nothing more is known.

His mother died of lung cancer in 2016.
